Leeds United fans were treated to something of a treat on Saturday afternoon as TWO players from their famed academy debuted for the first-team.Due to an injury crisis, Marcelo Bielsa, the manager, had to call upon Will Huffer and Aapo Halme against Bristol City.

| To go from being in the stands as a fan, to being on the pitch, it couldnt have gone any better @will_1huffer on his #LUFC debut and getting a clean sheet pic.twitter.com/tOTKPmJeul— Leeds United (@LUFC) November 24, 2018The England youth international came into the starting line-up due to Bailey Peacock-Farrell’s injury, and Huffer may be forced to continue in goal for Tuesday evening’s clash against Reading with Peacock-Farrell not set to be fit that soon. However, Huffer’s performance had some fans calling for him to replace Peacock-Farrell permanently after impressing so well against Bristol City. You can see the best reaction to his showing below…
It was good to see Will Huffer keep a clean sheet for Leeds yesterday, hopefully many more to come #lufc #mot— Ryan (@LeedsUtdRyan) November 25, 2018
Perfect game for Huffer did well what he had to do. Fair play to the young lad #lufc— Neils Diamond (@NeilsDiamond) November 24, 2018
Great to see Huffer make his debut, looked a little nervous at times but rightly so. Well done to Halme on his debut as well, played well and both got a clean sheet. Good day all round for the to young lads. #LUFC— FOTF (@FocusOnTheFooty) November 24, 2018
Very very impressed with Huffer today. Absolutely solid when needed #lufc— James Coulborn (@JMCoulborn) November 24, 2018
To be honest even if Peacock-Farrell is back fit, Huffer has done enough today to warrant starting against Reading!! #LUFC— ASW (@Awi1co) November 24, 2018
Halme has slotted in quite nicely, plenty of protection with Phillips there. Huffer has looked a little nervous but done ok. The game is calling out for Saiz to replace Forshaw. If we move the ball forward quicker they are there for the taking imo #lufc #MOT— Luke Naylor (@lukechunknaylor) November 24, 2018
If Im honest I thought Huffer was abit shaky at times, punched too much rather than caught and didnt punch it far enough but his throws out were good, the type of debut you expect for a 20 year old keeper in front of that crowd but will get better for it #lufc— Ryan (@RPlufc93) November 24, 2018
Thought Huffer and Halme were great today. Very assured considering the circumstances albeit against fairly tame opponents. Still, shows we do have options and as always, Bielsa's got it in hand #LUFC— Ridsdale's Goldfish (@yeboahsbigtoe) November 24, 2018
Well done to our latest young goalkeeper, Will Huffer who kept a clean sheet on his debut. #lufc— DoitforBilly (@HelenWh77714086) November 24, 2018
Huffer to keep his place for Reading then #LUFC— ASW (@Awi1co) November 24, 2018
