Liverpool transfer news: Reds ‘considering 20million move’ for young United States and Schalke star Weston McKennie
Liverpool are considering a 20million move for United States midfielder Weston McKennie.McKennie currently plays for Schalke and has been watched by Reds scouts throughout his time in the Bundesliga.And Jurgen Klopp is weighing up a bid for the youngster, with The Sun saying Liverpool will move for him either this month or when the transfer window reopens in the summer.1

McKennie is a versatile player who, while naturally a midfielder, is just as comfortable in defence and can also play off the striker.He’s made 45 appearances for Schalke, chipping in with two goals and two assists, and has caught the eye with his ball-winning ability and calm composure.He has been compared to Germany international Sami Khedira whileDomenico Tedesco, the Schalke manager, called him ‘an aggressive leader’.
