Newcastle fans to stage ’11th minute walk-in protest’ for Premier League match against West Ham against Magpies owner Mike Ashley
Newcastle supporters plan to stage an 11th minute walk-in to St James’ Park on Saturday in protest against club owner Mike Ashley.The Magpies face West Ham and supporters group ‘The Magpie Group’ have urged the Newcastle faithful to “have an extra pint before going to the match.”2

This is the latest in a series of protests against the Sports Direct tycoon’s running of the club over the last 11 years.Earlier this month, Newcastle fans took to the streets of London to protest against Ashley’s ownership outside of Sports Direct’s flagship store.The group are unhappy as they believe there has been a lack of investment by the club and are calling for action ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez recently called on the club’s board and not to have their commitment lessened by their recent upturn in form.2
